A Case of Hand-Mirror Cell Leukemia -A New Variant of the Leukemia-

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of so-called hand-mirror cell leukemia in a 16-year-old boy was presented
with a brief review of literatures. This patient was admitted to the Department of
Internal Medicine, Seoul National University Hospital with the chief complaints of high
fever and chilling sensation. The bone marrow contained 22.5% blast forms, 73%
immature lymphoid cells and 1.5% mature lymphocytes. 50% lymphocytic-lymphoblastic
cells had hand-mirror configurations.
He was discharged during treatment of hepatic coma because of the hopeless
prognosis.
